Rule 1 |
Eligible nominees: Only country or bluegrass
vocalists, instrumentalists or builders, living or deceased,
born in Nova Scotia, are eligible for nomination into the NSCMHF.

Rule 2 |
Eligible Honorary Nominees -
Country vocalist, instrumentalist and builders, living or
deceased, NOT born in Nova Scotia, are eligible
for honorary membership in the Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of
Fame. |

Rule 3 |
Categories: There shall be three
(3) categories to which nominations may be made - vocalists,
instrumentalist (A) or (B) and builder. (*See note at bottom
of page). A nomination can only be made in one (1)
category. Category must be indicated on the Nomination Form. |

Rule 4 |
Recommendations to the Board: The
Inductee Nominating Committee shall recommend to the Board the
names and number of nominees to be forwarded to the Judging
Panel. The final decision on which nominees shall be forwarded
to the Judging panel is to be made by the Board. |

Rule 5 |
Final selection: The Inductee
nominating Committee shall forward the Board’s approved list of
nominees to the Judging Panel. The Judging Panel to make the
final selections of the nominees to be inducted. |

Rule 6 |
Timing of the nominating process: for selection
process:
a) Nominations will be accepted as of October 1 of any
given year.
b) Nominations close February 15 of any given
year. |

Rule 7 |
Revisions: The Board reserves the
right to revoke, alter or amend these rules at any time. |

*Instrumentalist : (A) is a lead performer.
(B) is a back-up to a vocalist or instrumentalist.
