President's Message - Roger Bleasdale

A Message from Hall of Fame President, Roger Bleasdale, March 2021 :

After more than a year under the cloud of Covid 19, the light is beginning to shine at the end of the tunnel. Masking, good hygiene, social distancing, and vaccines are moving us toward what is expected to be a ‘new’ normal. Like virtually all organizations, the NS Country Music Hall of Fame has had to suspend its activities, including our popular live shows. This will continue until public health authorities give the all clear.

The purpose of this message is to let you know that, at a recent Board meeting, it was decided that the names of the 2020 inductees will remain sealed until such time as they can be celebrated with an appropriate induction event. As previously posted, nominations for 2021 were not entertained.  A decision will be made in September whether to reactivate nominations for 2022

The Board has also decided to extend current membership (renewal due in June) for one year free of charge to members.

In the meantime, the Association is seeking and encouraging candidates for possible Board Members. If you would like to be considered as a Board member, you are encouraged to contact me at the phone numbers below.

And finally, a reminder that our fundraising CD, “First Edition Showcase” featuring music by 15 Hall of Fame Inductees is available for only $15. It is a great CD of Nova Scotia talent to add to your personal collection or as a gift to family or friends.

Stay safe, stay well, stay country!

Yours in country Music,

Roger T. Bleasdale
